Verification of Non-Standard Components of the Oxygen Filter

FEA verification of the non-standard components of an Oxygen Filter, evaluated under design, full vacuum, and hydrostatic test conditions per ASME VIII Div. 2, Chapter 5 and Table 5.3. Using the Elastic Stress Analysis method, local stresses at critical structural discontinuities (nozzle necks, shell-to-nozzle and shell-to-head junctions) were linearized and compared against code allowables — confirming that all components, including M24 eye-bolts (SA 193 B7), washers (316L stainless steel), and nuts (SA 194 2H), remained within allowable stress limits, with no failure expected for this critical oxygen-service equipment.
