The object of the study is to develop a root-cause analysis to determine the causes of the failure of the API 650 atmospheric tank. Storage tank made of carbon steel A-283 Gr.C, built in 2000 under the API code 650.
The dimensions of the tank: nominal diameter of 12,000 mm, height of 18,000 mm with a dome roof. The manufacturing weight is 51,000 Kg, with a capacity of 2,035 m3.
