The mechanical calculation of a storage tank with flat bottom and conical fixed roof, under 2 bars of pressure, was carried out.
The verification of the tank was executed by Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and different safety factors were obtained for different loads combinations. The maximum tensions were verified for the following conditions: leveling process, occasional load for higher demand, hydrostatic testing, and maximal operational load.
