Starting from a visual inspection and a Laser Scan 3D dimensions study, the objective of this project was to evaluate the possible causes that led to the appearance of deformations in some shell courses of three storage tanks, designed according to the API 650 code.
The deformations appeared during the filling process and, the dents moved to different points of the shell. The dents disappeared when the tanks were emptied.
The added value of our works resides is in the high technical qualifications of our team of professionals participating in each project, also in the agility and flexibility with which we face the constant challenges of a very demanding sector.
