The objective of this project was to define the minimum requirements for the inspection, alteration, repair, and reconstruction of steel tanks manufactured according to the API 650 standard and its predecessor API 12C.
It was considered the serviceability, the brittle fracture conditions, the tank inspections, the selection of materials, the design of rebuilt tanks, considerations for the repair and alteration of the tank, welding, and the tests to be carried out.
