The purpose of the project was to validate, through finite element analysis (FEA), and in accordance with the requirements included in the Eurocode 3, the dimensioning of a tank for water treatment.
The tank is prismatic with a rectangular base, made up of S235 steel sheets and profiles welded together or bolted into the removable parts of the structure. The overall dimensions of the tank are 13m long, 5m wide maximum, and 4m deep.
