Development of an FFS study for a sphere in accordance with the API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 code. With the starting information, it was determined that the damage present was localized loss of wall thickness at various points in the equipment.
The entire 3D model was developed with the aim of modeling the localized damage with the greatest representation. Next, different load combinations were evaluated by FEA at localized damage points.
